No credit card. No commission on bookings.

    The essentials

    What you actually get

    1. 01

      A calendar per stylist

Each stylist keeps their own hours and their own service list. Clients pick a person or Anyone available, and only real openings show.

    2. 02

Colour takes longer than a trim

Every service carries its own duration and buffer, so a full head of colour never gets squeezed into a blow dry slot.

    3. 03

Your brand, not a directory listing

Logo, colours and font on the booking page and in the confirmation emails. No other salon shown next to yours.

    4. 04

      Confirmations and reminders

An email the moment a client books, a reminder before the appointment, both on a queue so booking never waits on a send.

    5. 05

      Hours that match real life

Business hours support multiple windows a day, so lunch and split shifts are respected instead of worked around.

    6. 06

      No double booked chair

The booking endpoint is transactional and rate limited, so two clients tapping the same Saturday slot cannot both win it.

    FAQ

    Questions people ask

Is there a free salon booking app?+

Yes. The Free Beta plan covers a branded booking page, unlimited appointments and email reminders with no card at signup. Paid plans add staff seats and extra locations.

Do clients need to install an app?+

No. The booking page is a web page. Clients tap your link, choose a service and a time, and get a confirmation email.

Can each stylist have different prices and services?+

Yes. Services are assigned per staff member, each with its own duration and buffer, so the calendar reflects the work rather than a flat slot length.

Can each staff member have different working hours?+

Yes. Every staff member has their own hours and service list, and business hours support multiple windows a day so lunch breaks and split shifts are respected. Availability is calculated per person.

How do you prevent double bookings?+

The public booking endpoint is transactional and rate limited. It validates the full service duration against staff hours, existing appointments and capacity in a single call, so two clients hitting the same slot cannot both win.

Can I take deposits or payments through the booking page?+

Not today. ZenSched focuses on the calendar and the booking experience. Payment collection is on the roadmap; for now most customers collect payment in person or through their existing processor.

    Do you send SMS reminders?+

Not yet. Reminders go by email today. If SMS is a hard requirement for you, tell us — we ship based on what customers ask for.

How hard is it to switch from another booking system?+

There is no migration project. You add your services, hours and staff, then share the new link. Most owners run the old system until the last booked appointment passes, then stop renewing it.
