Cookie Policy

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies such as local storage and pixels work the same way. They let a site remember you between page loads, keep you signed in, and measure how the site is used. A cookie can be a session cookie (deleted when you close the browser) or a persistent cookie (kept until it expires or you delete it).

2. Categories We Use

We group cookies into four categories. Only Essential is active before you make a choice. Nothing in the Analytics, Marketing, or Preferences categories loads until you give consent.

3. Essential Cookies

Required for the service to work. They cannot be switched off, and we do not use them to profile you.

• Authentication session — keeps you signed in to your dashboard. Stored by our authentication provider. Typically lasts up to 30 days or until you sign out.
• Consent record — remembers the choices you make in the cookie banner so we do not ask again. Stored in your browser's local storage under zensched.consent.v1. Persists until you clear it or reset your preferences.
• Security and load balancing — set by our infrastructure providers to protect against abuse. Session length to 12 months.

4. Analytics Cookies

Optional. These help us understand which pages are useful, where people get stuck, and what to improve. They load only after you grant Analytics consent.

• Google Analytics 4 — aggregated traffic and usage measurement. Sets _ga and _ga_<id>, each lasting up to 2 years. We enable IP anonymisation and Google Consent Mode, and we do not use Google Analytics for advertising or remarketing. Google Privacy Policy
• Microsoft Clarity — anonymised heatmaps and session replays that show how pages are used. Sets _clck (up to 1 year) and _clsk (1 day), and may set MUID (up to 13 months). Clarity masks text and form input by default, so what you type is not recorded. Microsoft Privacy Statement

Analytics is not loaded on customer-facing booking pages. Cookie durations are set by the providers and may change; the figures above reflect their published defaults.

5. Marketing Cookies

We do not currently run advertising or remarketing cookies. The category exists in our consent tool so that if we ever add them, they stay off until you opt in and this page is updated first.

6. Preference Cookies

Reserved for optional convenience settings, such as remembering a display choice. Not currently in use.

6a. Where You Are Matters

Cookie rules differ by country, so we apply the standard that protects you most in your location:

• Prior consent (opt-in) — visitors in the EU/EEA (GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive), the United Kingdom (UK GDPR and PECR), Switzerland (revFADP), Brazil (LGPD) and Türkiye (KVKK). No analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set until you press Accept. Rejecting is one click, exactly as easy as accepting, and the site works the same either way.
• Notice and choice (opt-out) — visitors in the United States (including CPRA/CCPA and similar state laws), Canada and most of Asia-Pacific. Analytics may run from your first visit, we tell you clearly in the banner, and you can opt out instantly there or from the footer at any time.

Your region is estimated in your browser from your time zone and language settings — we do not look up or store your IP address for this. If we cannot tell where you are, we apply the stricter opt-in rule. We never run advertising or profiling cookies anywhere, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

7. Managing or Withdrawing Consent

You can change your mind at any time, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

Use the Cookie Preferences link (also in the footer of every page) to review each category and save a new choice. When you turn Analytics off, we stop collecting and clear the related cookies we can reach from your browser.

8. Browser Controls

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and most offer a "clear browsing data" option and a per-site permissions screen. Look under Settings, then Privacy and security, in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of ZenSched from working, such as staying signed in. Many browsers also send a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour as a request to keep non-essential categories off.

9. Changes and Contact
